The "Sweden + Taiwan Green Transition Alliance" visited CSBC Corporation to discuss the green transition strategy in the shipbuilding industry

On November 28th, the Swedish Trade and Investment Council, along with members of the "Sweden + Taiwan Green Transition Alliance" including Alfa Laval, Atlas Copco, and Volvo Trucks, jointly visited CSBC Corporation. The purpose was to gain a deeper understanding of the company's recent progress in green transformation and its future development goals while further promoting the exchange of innovative technologies between Sweden and Taiwan in the shipbuilding industry.

During the meeting, CSBC Corporation presented its achievements and future prospects in the field of green and sustainable solutions. The main focus areas included green energy production management, green shipyards, green ship design, and the significant role played by its subsidiaries in energy storage and marine engineering. The company is dedicated to large-scale, green, and intelligent container ship technology, considering digitalization and sustainability as key strategic points for future operations.

During the visit, Alfa Laval introduced its ship-related technologies, including the Ocean Glide air lubrication system. Through fluid technology, a uniform and controllable layer of microbubbles is formed at the bottom of the ship, significantly reducing friction resistance between the ship and the surrounding water. This reduction in resistance not only improves energy efficiency and reduces fuel consumption but also contributes to lowering carbon emissions.

Volvo Trucks emphasized its comprehensive transportation solutions, covering truck safety equipment and testing, customized optimal operational solutions, and the broadest range of electric truck products. This provides diverse and flexible options to meet the needs of different industries.

Atlas Copco explained its efficient equipment for ships, including hull lubrication air systems, waste heat recovery ORC systems, and all-in-one nitrogen systems. These innovative technologies help enhance ship performance and implement sustainable practices.

The purpose of this exchange is to promote cooperation between Sweden and Taiwan in the shipbuilding field, with the expectation of initiating ongoing dialogues in the field of green transformation. We hope that this meeting will lay the foundation for future collaboration, introducing more innovative and environmentally friendly solutions to the shipbuilding industry.
